Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment
MobilityLane is committed to making our website accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information about mobility equipment and independent living, and we work to ensure our site meets or exceeds established accessibility standards.
Conformance Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines are developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and are widely regarded as the international standard for web accessibility.
What We Do
To ensure accessibility, we implement the following practices:
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, lists, and other semantic elements to provide clear document structure for assistive technologies.
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements on our site are accessible via keyboard. Users can navigate menus, forms, and content using Tab, Enter, Escape, and arrow keys without requiring a mouse.
- Color contrast: We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, ensuring readability for users with low vision or color vision deficiencies.
- Text sizing: Body text is set to a minimum of 16 pixels, and the site supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Image alternatives: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are appropriately marked so screen readers skip them.
- Skip navigation: A "skip to main content" link is provided at the top of every page, allowing keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation.
- Focus indicators: Visible focus outlines are provided on all interactive elements to help keyboard users track their position on the page.
- ARIA labels: We use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes where needed to enhance the accessibility of interactive components like menus, accordions, and forms.
- Readable fonts: We use clear, highly legible typefaces (Source Sans 3 for body text, Playfair Display for headings) with appropriate line height and spacing.
- Form accessibility: All form fields have associated labels, required fields are clearly indicated, and error messages are descriptive and programmatically associated with their fields.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some third-party content or embedded services (such as affiliate product listings or external forms) may not fully meet all accessibility standards. We continuously work with our partners and service providers to improve accessibility across all site content.

Continuous Improvement
Web accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time task. We regularly review our site for accessibility compliance, test with assistive technologies, and update our practices as standards evolve. We are committed to making MobilityLane a welcoming and usable resource for every visitor.
